Base Assignment

I slept horribly last night.  My only explanation has to be those stupid butterflies!  I went to bed at 11pm only to roll over at 12:50am and feel as though I hadn't been asleep that entire time.  I continued to wake up nearly every hour until 5:45am, 30 minutes before my alarm...ugh!

My morning dragged on as I clock watched waiting for the phone call of a lifetime.  Bud was going to find out our base assignment today during his AFROTC class.  Finally, at 12:23pm he called.  He announced the BIG news.  Now now now, you didn't think I was going to forget that I'm trying to keep this a secret and slip did you?  Well I remember and let me just say I can't wait to move.  I'm so excited!  Being military is in my blood, it's deep seeded within me to want to move every few years. Don't get me wrong I love Austin, but I'm ready to pack up and ship out!
This is a mural on the side of a building in South Austin.  So glad I found it and captured this picture!

Another one of my pictures taken at the Capital Building

On another note I'm on day 2 of my 21 day challenge and honestly on my drive home I seriously considered not working out.  Upon arriving home though I realized that 30 minutes on the treadmill wasn't that long!  I changed and 35 minutes later I was back from the gym having walked 1.75 miles at 4mph on an incline of 4!  I feel better now that I worked out.

Dinner is in the oven- Provolone Sausage Bake & Sliced Cantaloupe- I love a breakfast type meals for dinner.
Bud should be home any minute, so I need to get a quick shower and freshen up before we settle in for the night!
Have a blessed evening and remember only one more day until the weekend!
