First we used a washable marker to draw out where we were going to quilt.
I did what is called a echo stitch (according to my teacher) which means I quilted on both sides of each line I drew.
It's a little difficult to see because I used a cream thread, but wherever you see those blue lines there is a sewn line on each side. |

Tada....see how that section of line is gone? This marker literally comes right off with a wet rag. Any spots I may miss will come off when I wash the final project. |

We will learn about binding both with our sewing machine and by hand.
In other news I had to borrow the teachers sewing project to do my homework because my sewing machine has official given up.
I'll be scrounging up $65-80 to bring her in for servicing, but in the mean time I'm happy to have a rental!
