Last night in Life Group we were given the challenge to do one random act of kindness everyday for 1 week and journal it.
Can I just say that the thought of this was daunting because I always think random acts of kindness need to be BIG.
But this morning I diligently did a little research on the subject and found a list of 100 random small acts of kindness that people can try to incorporate into their everyday life. I was happy to see that I already do many of these on a regular basis, like: Give the gift of your smile, compliment people, etc.
There definitely are a lot of things I can try to do that I don't normally.
My first random act of kindness was for a co-worker. I simply put a small card on her keyboard before she arrived this morning that said:
Have a GREAT day!
Dear *********,
I hope you have a restful and relaxing weekend. Please let me know how I can pray for you.
God Bless,
Biz
My verses we studied last night to help me this next week are:
1 John 3:18
"Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth".
Romans 12:9-10
"Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves".
Luke 6:37-38
"Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you".
If you have any ideas as to how I can incorporate random acts of kindness into my daily activities please feel free to share!
I hope everyone has a blessed Friday!

One that I always do if I can is when I am getting to a store and see someone unloading their purchases into their car, Ill park near them and ask them if I can take their cart so they dont have to go put it in the cart corral or just leave it out. Ive never done this for a man lol, but will for elderly or the mom with 3 screaming kids. I had a father and son do this for me once when Jack was itty bitty and I totally appreciated it, so now I try to do it for others!:)
ReplyDeleteGreat idea Julie! Thank you!
