Backpacks & Picnic Lunches

6:15 am- Alarm
6:45 am- Packing picnic lunch
7:00 am- JF & MS arrive to pick us up
7:20 am- On the road
9:20 am- Arrive at Enchanted Rock.

Enchanted Rock is one of the Texas State Parks described as a huge, pink granite exfoliation dome, that rises 425 feet above ground.  The view is beautiful.  We climbed the summit trail, thus bringing us to the top of Enchanted Rock.  I swear we climbed up at a 45 degree incline the entire time!  It was a killer workout, haha.  Afterwards we hiked down the other side towards Echo Canyon and then back to the picnic area for lunch.

11:30 am- Lunch
12:15 pm- More Hiking
1:15 pm- Headed home
3:00 pm- Arrive home

So it begins

We reached the top of the Enchanted Rock!  What a view!

Echo Canyon and YES we proved that it was true to it's name!

Finally the photographer hands off the camera so that her and the hubby can get a picture together!  It was such a beautiful day and a lot of fun!

After we got home we napped, hiking in the heat is exhausting and I had developed a headache.  Today was another one of those great days.  A double date filled with laughs and good memories!  I hope everyone had a blessed Sunday!  See ya tomorrow.
