Bum Around..

I love 3 day weekends.  For some reason 3 day weekends feel equivalent to a week.  I love the extra time with my husband.  I love the extra time I have after cleaning to just savor a clean house.  I love the laziness of it all.
Today after tidying up the house I was able to work on my Rag Wreath (tutorial later this week) while watching Legally Blonde 2: Red, White, & Blonde on t.v., I know it's a cheezy chick flick, but much like the Twilight books, a little easy reading/television can be just what the doctor ordered!

Bud had to work 9-1 today and when he finally came home at 2 I was ready to eat lunch & go work out.  Well...that's not exactly how things played out.  We putzed around and at 3 JF stopped by to hang out.  I attempted to rush out the door and get my workout in.  I arrived at the complex gym, it was empty...which to me is perfect!  I got on the treadmill, turned on the t.v. and started to look for something to watch when I got a text from JF saying that Bud was rushing to come get me because my Dad was attempting to Skype with me.  I left the gym, met up with Bud & rushed home to Skype with my Dad!  The guys went to the mall to look for a couple things while I caught up with my Dad via Skype.  Skype really is the greatest invention!
That's my Dad.  He went to the Redhead Day 2010 in Breda, The Netherlands.
This was easy for Dad since he's been living in Germany for a short period of time teaching English.
1 hour later I said goodbye to my Dad and finally headed back to the apartment complex gym.  I successfully completed my 30 minute workout.  By 5:30 the guys were back home and I was showered and ready to make dinner.  Bud & I decided to eat and have another semi-date night.  We went to see The American at the Alamo Drafthouse.  I was so bummed by this movie, SPOILER ALERT, all of the action was in the previews.  The rest of the movie is somber.  It's a quiet movie which I can only associate with Castaway and it's attempts to force the audience into feeling the extreme solitude of the main character.  Overall, I didn't love it.  Maybe I should have seen what the rating was and why it was rated that way, but I am not really a girl who enjoys nudity in movies.  This movie had more nudity than action.  Anyways, I digress...today was a lazy day and going to the movies played right into that laziness.  I'm off to bed now as I start a new schedule at work tomorrow and must get up a little earlier to accommodate.   I hope everyone has a blessed evening!
