Baby Diaries #6

How far along? 20 weeks 3 days

Total weight gain/loss: 10 lbs

Maternity clothes? I hit the jackpot!  After seeing how expensive maternity clothes were I decided to look on Craigslist for yard sales that might have maternity clothing for sale.  Well there just happened to be a lady who was selling a Lot of size medium maternity clothes for only $100.  Bud & I went by and picked up the 6 bags of clothes.  After going through all of them about 1/4 went straight to Goodwill, another 1/4 went in a drawer for later because they were actually size large and may fit towards the end of the pregnancy or not at all, and finally the last 1/2 got washed and is perfect for my everyday use!  I got 2 pairs of jeans, 2 pairs of black work pants, 4 pairs of lounge pants, 4 pairs of capris, 4 tank tops, and 14 tops.  I hit the jackpot!

Stretch marks? Not yet.

Sleep: I definitely find myself wanting to sit down and rest after we do a lot of walking.

Best moment this week: I have a Dr. appointment today and we will find out if Bitsy Hitzy is a boy or a girl!  Big announcement this Friday!!!

Movement: I'm finally starting to feel some popcorn popping sensations a little more.  When I sit for a while is when I seem to feel the movement, it makes me very happy!

Food cravings: Nada.

Gender: We find out today!!!!

Labor Signs: No.

Belly Button in or out? Still an inney ;)

What I miss: Right now I don't miss anything :)

What I am looking forward to: Our appointment today, Bud's family arriving into town tomorrow evening, and Bud's Commissioning on Friday.

Weekly Wisdom:  Sometimes people say something that sounds insensitive and that honestly wasn't their intent.  Try to take it with a grain assault.  It seems lately that everyone is "wishing" ill on me.  I get asked:
-So does you back hurt yet?
-Have you started losing sleep yet?
-Your feet are going to swell up to the size of bread....my sisters did.
and more and more and more...
I just keep telling everyone that except for the fact that my old clothes don't fit I still feel like myself.  Every pregnancy is different and maybe I'll be blessed and my symptoms will never be that bad.  I'm trying to roll with the punches because it's easy to say things without thinking how they really sound to the recipient.

Your Baby in Week 20 of Pregnancy
Curious about whether that melon-sized belly contains a boy or a girl? Now's your chance to take a peek! Your second trimester ultrasound, scheduled for anytime between 18 and 22 weeks, gives your practitioner a chance to see how things are going in there. And, wow, are they going! If you're having a girl, her uterus is now fully formed and her ovaries are holding about seven million primitive eggs. If you're having a boy, his testicles have begun their descent from the abdomen to their ultimate destination — the scrotum. And while your baby is definitely getting bigger (weighing in at about ten ounces and measuring six and a half inches), there's still plenty of growing room in there, which allows him to twist and turn (and allows you to feel his acrobatics!).
How Big Bitsy Hitzy is this week
I hope you all had a Blessed Wednesday!

  2. I can't wait until Friday!!! People do say the stupidest things! Every woman is different, every pregnancy is different. My pregnancy with Lacey was 100% different than it was with Miles. Don't let it bother you...easier said than done I know!!
