Bible Verse Friday #24

"An offended friend is harder to win back than a fortified city.  Arguments separate friends like a gate locked with bars". ~Proverbs 18:19

I apologize that this is a continuation from last week.
I have written out my words.
I have reviewed them.
I have edited them.
I have reorganized them.
Finally I have prayed over them.

All that is left to do is send them.
I believe that we both feel offended.
I am making the first move.
We will see if the gate locked with bars can be unlocked...
or...
if it will just be walled over with a permanent brick wall.

I suppose there is a third option.
I suppose it could be temporarily boarded up.
But only time will tell.
Prayer and time are all I can give at this time.

In direct correlation with this verse I will remind myself:
"Love prospers when a fault is forgiven, but dwelling on it separates close friends".~Proverbs 17:9

I am willing to forgive and if I have been the offender I pray that forgiveness will be given to me as well.

This week make a conscious effort to make the first move.
Sometimes we need to understand that there are 3 sides to each story.
Our side, Their side, and the truth.
Open yourself up to realize that you may need to hear the other side in order to understand the truth.

I pray you all had a Blessed Friday!
