I finished typing it last night and then deleted it.
On purpose.
I wanted to wait until today for BibleGateway.com to update the verse of the day.
Well apparently they posted today's verse late last night, because as I now look to see what it is, it's the same verse.
Obviously, I'm not getting away from this verse.
"Make allowance for each other's faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others." ~Colossians 3:13
Deja vu.
The last couple weeks I had verses on my heart that I used.
Verses VERY similar to this.
Today I returned to my regular method of finding a verse at BibleGateway.com and this is what was given to me.
Obviously HE wanted me to see THIS verse.
I sent my words off to the individual.
I prayed over them.
I have come to terms, as I previously stated, that this may be the end of a friendship.
I have also granted forgiveness for the hurt that I was caused.
I just pray that if I hurt her, she can do the same.
It says it plain as day, "Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you MUST forgive others."
Who am I to hold a grudge.
Who am I to judge the actions of someone.
I do not know the entire story.
All I know is my side.
I asked all of you last week to take that first step.
Maybe you've been hurt.
Maybe you hurt someone.
Maybe you have a life changing decision you need to make, but you've been putting it on the back burner.
Whatever it is that you've been putting on hold I hope you'll start the process.
The process of working through it and getting past it.
If HE brings you to it, HE'LL bring you through it!
I firmly believe this.
We might be surprised at what the end result is.
We may be hurt by the end result.
Either way it's an end result which allows us the ability to move past it.
No more dwelling.
If you are having a hard time getting started let me know by shooting me an email
You don't have to share specifics, you can if you want.
Just let me know that you need prayer and I will get started!
I promise you that after the first step it DOES get easier.
Follow God's word and do as Christ would want you to and you will be rewarded!
He promises this!
I hope you all have a Blessed Friday!

I struggle with dwelling too much. I tend to look back when I should be looking forward. I always replay the "What ifs" in my head. Sometimes being hurt is the end result and you need to let it go and lean on God to heal you and help you move on. I really need to start reading scripture again. Thank you for inspiring me to do so. :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE this and how
ReplyDeleteyou were meant to read
it. At first as I was
reading this, I thought
that I didn't have anyone
that it applied to. But
as the words unfolded, I
did think of some unfinished
business. You are right.
Forgiveness is the answer.
Otherwise, you are just
poisoning yourself! How
did you get to be so wise??
