Bible Verse Friday #30

"If your instructions hadn't sustained me with joy, I would have died in my misery.  I will never forget your commandments, for by them you give me life."~Psalm 119:92-93

God gave us guidelines for how to live our lives.
If we take the time to apply those guidelines to our lives we will live full of joy and peace.
If we ignore his guidance we will surely live a life full of strife and pain.
The verse says 'I would have died in my misery', I don't think it means physically die, I believe it's saying emotional, relational, and/or spiritual death.
Whether or not you follow God's direction we will all encounter strife, pain, hurt, etc.
But it's in knowing his will for our lives that we are able to view these 'painful' times more positively than those who ignore the commandments.

Although this sounds elementary in theory it is quite complicated to truly grasp and apply to our day to day lives.
So remember his promises to us.
No matter what is going on in your life remember: "If HE brings you to it,  HE'll bring you through it".
