It was bittersweet.
Everyone stopped by my desk to say quick "good-byes".
I did my best to work hard and help my team get ahead of themselves.
Honestly, we've been down a team member for a year and now that I'm gone they will be down 2 team members!
It's a lot of work for only 3 people.
No matter how much I tried to work, people, including my team lead, couldn't help by stop by and make small talk.
It's an amazing feeling to know that you've touched so many lives.
People were filling me full of positivity and kind words.
I feel so blessed to have spent the last 3-1/2 years working at the Department of State Health Services.
What's an even better feeling?
It's one that hasn't fully hit me yet.
It's the one that says I'm retired from working outside of the home!
I don't think it'll hit me until we get to North Carolina and I don't have to start my job search.
I've quit jobs and moved and found work again, but this is the first time that I don't have to begin that process of interviewing and sending off resumes.
It's a blessing we've been given that I can be a SAHM for Bitsy!
I hope you all had a Blessed Thursday!
