"For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning". ~Psalm 30:5
The seasons are starting to change here.
The days are becoming warmer and longer.
It seems that we are always ready for the NEXT season instead of the one we are currently in.
The one we are in always seems to drag on forever!
Much like our sentiments about seasons are our feelings about feelings.
Sometimes it feels as though someone is angry or we are angry for a long time.
We may feel sad for days, weeks, months, etc.
The truth is though that these moments are temporary.
They are seasons in our life.
If we look at our life in a whole, most often we would see that the good outweighs the bad.
HIS favor lasts a lifetime.
JOY comes with the morning.
What emotions are you dealing with today?
Ask yourself if these are valid emotions.
Ask yourself if they are worth your time and energy.
Ask yourself if you have the ability to change these emotions.
If you notice that they are based on something you can just let go....let it go.
If you noticed that the energy and time spent on them is too great and gives them value they don't warrant...let it go.
If you can and want to change these emotions....let go and let GOD!
HIS favor lasts a lifetime.
JOY comes with the morning.
I'm not suggesting that there is not a time and place for anger, hurt, sadness, etc...
What I'm suggesting is that sometimes we take it all on ourselves when the Bible clearly tells us:
"Then Jesus said, Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light". ~Matthew 11:28-30
If you are struggling to let go and let God, please let me know how I can pray for you.
Feel free to send me a private message.
I hope you have a Blessed Friday!

Matthew 11:28 has been replaying in my mind a lot this week. This post really touched home today, thank you.
ReplyDeleteToday it is suppose to be sunny and warm. Change of season is fast approaching in more ways than one.
