Bacon Wrapped Crockpot Chicken

Maybe I'm just too new to crock-pot cooking, but I never knew there were so many delicious recipes out there!
If you are a busy Mama like I am I'll be quick to tell you that crock-pot recipes are lifesavers!
I am so grateful for the days when I just throw everything in while Bitsy is down for her first nap and forget about it until dinner.
This recipe was a little more involved, but I have a simple solution that will have this meal cooking in about 10 minutes!
Here is What You Will Need:
- 4 Chicken Breasts (frozen works just as well as thawed)
- 1/2 cup of BBQ sauce (are any of y'all as addicted to Sweet Baby Ray's as we are?)
- 2 apples
- 1 lemon, juiced (you can either juice your own or buy lemon juice...you'll need about 1/4 a cup)
- 8 slices of bacon
Step 1- Peel your apples
Step 2- Grate your apples
Ignore those steps!!!
Here is how you save yourself abut 5 minutes.
STEP 1:  Buy applesauce (You need about 1 to 1-1/2 cups)
That's right, after completing these steps I realized I had just made my own apple sauce and it was a waste of time.
STEP 2: Combine applesauce, bbq sauce, and lemon juice...mix well.
STEP 3: Wrap 2 slices around each piece of chicken.
STEP 4: Place your bacon wrapped chicken in the bottom of your crock-pot.
To save on clean up time later (ALWAYS spray your crock-pot with non-stick spray).
STEP 5: Pour your applesauce, bbq sauce, lemon juice mixture over everything and let it cook on low for 8 hours.
Your house will smell delicious.
Bud will vouch for that.
He walked in from work and asked, "What smells so good"?
Let me just say there is nothing better than to hear those words come out of your hubby's mouth!
Finally, serve over a bed of rice with either steamed green beans, broccoli, or corn.
This chicken will fall apart and your taste buds will jump for joy!

I hope you had a Blessed Monday!
