Baked Apple Dumplings

I made a resolution (**I don't wait until the new year to make these).
If you're like me then you've been pinning lots of yummy looking recipes on Pinterest.
Well, my resolution is that I will make 1 or 2 of these recipes each week.
This way not only am I trying lots of new recipes, but I'm also able to make sure I'm pinning for a cause!
So let me start with these Baked Apple Dumplings!
**WARNING: Do not attempt if you are on a diet!

Baked Apple Dumplings
What You'll Need:
2 cans of reduced fat crescent rolls
12 oz of Mountain Dew
Cinnamon
2 Sticks of butter
2 Granny Smith Apples
1 teaspoon vanilla
1-1/2 cups sugar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cut your apple.
This recipe did suggest peeling your apples, but I left the skin on.
Next roll each apple section into a crescent roll
and
place into a greased 9x13 dish.
Melt your butter
Then mix in sugar & vanilla
Pour your butter, vanilla, sugary goodness over your apple stuffed crescent rolls.
Next pour the Mountain Dew around all of the dumplings.
This step looks gross, but trust me these dumplings are delicious!
Sprinkle desired amount of cinnamon over top.
Bake for 30-40 minutes!
If you so desire serve with a scoop of ice-cream.
We skipped the ice-cream as there was enough sugar in this recipe to put anyone into a diabetic coma!
Serving hot & fresh is preferred, but I can vouch that day after reheated is still pretty scrumptious!
ENJOY!!!

I hope you had a Blessed Tuesday!
