Bible Verse Friday #21

"[The Shepherds and Angels] That night there were shepherds staying in the fields nearby, guarding their flocks of sheep.  Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord's glory surrounded them.  They were terrified, but the angel reassured them.  "Don't be afraid!" he said.  "I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people.  The Savior-yes, the Messiah, the Lord-has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David!" ~Luke 2:8-11

Christmas [kris-muh's]
noun
1. the annual commemoration by Christians of the birth of Jesus Christ on Dec 25.

How do you define Christmas?
What does it mean to you and your family?
This weekend we will celebrate the birth of our Savior.
We will gather with family.
Enjoy wonderful foods.
Play games and share laughter.
Bitsy will meet more of her Uncles and Grandpas.
We will go to church and sing praises.
Reflecting on the fact that this holiday was made possible by our Savior.
Jesus Christ.
Son of God, born unto man to redeem us of our sins.
Know that Christ is the core of Christmas and that no matter how much the world is trying to remove the religious tones of this holiday it is ultimately up to us to reflect on the true meaning.
As you step into this weekend and reflect on what Christmas means for your family...I encourage you to take a moment and sing praise or pray a prayer of gratitude for the ultimate sacrifice and the best gift you won't find wrapped under the treat, but rather right inside your heart.

I pray that you all have a Blessed Friday!
