The wind woke me up at 3 a.m.
I wandered out to see what was going on outside only to find trees a-blowing as violently as possible!
I got online to check the weather.
It was still 66 degrees outside.
Back to bed I went...curled up tighter under the covers trying to block out the sound of the car alarms and branches scraping the windows.
5:45 a.m. time to get up for work.
I got online again to check the weather only to find that it had dropped 30 degrees.
It was 36 degrees with a windchill of 21 degrees.
Now I know that many of you have been dealing with this and worse, but for us Texans this is downright horrible!
We had 40 mph gusts of wind and I did encounter about 3 minutes of sleet while driving to work.
I was tired all day and kept to myself, using my 15 minute breaks to recline in my chair and close my eyes.
Back to my blunders in crafting...
...and maybe they aren't so bad, I'm just not as in love with them as I had hoped.
First-
I bought this jacket...a LOONG time ago. |
I was probably in middle school. It was on sale at the Fossil store. I didn't own anything name brand so I snatched it up! |
I've worn it to death. My poor elbow has worn through. |
I hadn't even noticed this hole on the OTHER elbow until I started taking these pictures. |
Then I made the mistake of stopping in a different fabric store the other day and found KSU fabric.
I changed my mind...instead of the flowery fabric I'd use the KSU fabric....
But first I'd die the jacket to match the dark purple....
This is how my dye job turned out. This is not the dark purple as described on the package of dye. Blah! |
I COULD buy another packet of dye and try again....but I've reached the point of just wanting to be done.
So I'm saving my KSU fabric for something more worthy....and I'm back to the flowery fabric.
We shall see how it turns out.
I'll post pictures no matter what....and I'll be honest if I hate it, haha!
Here is to hoping it's cuter than I can picture.
I hope everyone is staying toasty warm right now, I'm ready for Saturday when our temperatures are supposed to return to the 60s.
I hope you had a Blessed Tuesday!

I love the scarf, its super cute!
