Bridesmaid Diaries Part 3

CRAFT DAY!!!!
One of my brides came down today and we tackled a few crafts for the wedding!
My Bride DE had a great idea of hanging the Bride & Groom's Initials from the bar at the reception.
We found a website that allowed us to order 16" letters.
So cool!
1st we covered them in a couple coats of brown paint
Then we modge podged on scrapbook paper.
DE did this one and it looks leathery which is cool!
Ignore the air bubbles in the & sign I did
And a fun rustic pink!

I think all the paint and modge podge got to my bride!
In between layers drying I finished work on the ring bearers pillow.
Now let me remind you...this is the one she found on etsy:
found here
It's beautiful.
But it is $27 and a little much for our budget.
So I asked her if she would mind if I gave it a try...
First I made the ribbon using chocolate brown satin.
Then I made the pillow with ivory satin.
Now I had to stop here, because I needed to wait for DE to visit so we could pick out the right color rose for the center and decide if we wanted the bling or not.
So here it is...the finished project!

What do you think?!
Overall it was a VERY successful day!
We still have to make a couple flower girl baskets & some etched glass votives for the outdoor tables at the reception.
Those will wait for another day...another edition of Bridesmaid Diaries!
I hope you all had a Blessed Saturday!

P.S. I forgot to mention.  So Friday after they delayed the start of work to 10, they delayed it again to 1pm and finally they closed us down for the entire day!  I gladly never had to leave the comfort of my house!  On a bad note we lost water yesterday and it's just now getting back on....so my friend DE hung out with me all day despite the fact I hadn't been able to shower or brush my teeth!
I'm off to the movies!
