Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone?" ~Ecclesiastes 4:9,10
This is the last Friday in February and our last BVF focused on love.
Whether it be family, spouse, or friends we were created to have relationships.
"Then the LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him". ~Genesis 2:18
I am the first to admit that I am very comfortable being alone.
I am introverted.
That being said, I still crave social interaction from time to time.
I think it's engrained in us.
Have you ever been through a period in your life when you thought no one could understand and you just wanted to be alone?
Did it really help the situation?
Did you ever, in turn, seek out a confidant to which you could surround yourself with?
How did it help the situation?
I think we all crave relationships.
I think we all crave love.
I think we were created that way.
Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone?" ~Ecclesiastes 4:9,10
We are able to accomplish more with help.
We are able to overcome more with help.
We are able to get up faster with help.
help = love.
As I've stated before there are different levels of love.
The kind you have for your parents vs the kind you have for your children.
The kind you have for your spouse vs the kind you have for your friends.
As a Christian I want to radiate love to all I encounter.
I want to help others in the best way I can.
help = love.
Who are you helping on a daily basis?
Who is there for you when the real trouble strikes?
Is it a family member?
A friend?
A spouse/significant other?
In my world my husband is my best friend.
He is the person I rely on when everything seems off kilter.
Despite his absence, just hearing his voice is a comfort.
I challenge you to help someone this next week.
Practice helping others and in turn I think your ability to radiate love will grow and glow stronger and brighter than ever before!
I hope you all had a Blessed Friday!
