Blooming...

Do you remember me showing you these only a short week ago?
Do you remember me mentioning my black thumb?
Well in the week since they have started to transform into something more!
Bringing forth splashes of color...
...and tiny buds of beauty!
My black thumb seems to have vanished
At least for now.
The big challenge will be learning how to transplant these bulbs for the next season.
I'd like to put them around my mailbox.
and let me tell you they smell so yummy.
It's as though spring has sprung in our home.

Is there anything springing up where you are right now?
What about spring are you most looking forward to?

I typically say I'm looking forward to warm and sunny days,
and don't get me wrong I'm still looking forward to those days,
but somehow,
someway...
I've acclimated to the North Carolina weather.
Today was a sunny & breezy 55 degrees.
Bitsy & I took that as a sign that we needed to get out for a walk.
Okay well I needed to walk,
she apparently needed a 1/2 hour nap.
The chance to watch everything 'spring' back to life.
I don't think New Years should fall in January...
I think rather it should fall in the spring.
When everything becomes new again!
I think what I look forward to most about spring is all the freshness.
The new growth.

Oh and if you have any good advice about transplanting bulbs I'd love to hear it!

I hope you all had a Blessed Tuesday!

  1. They are so pretty!

While you're enjoying Spring in NC, it has felt like we're in the middle of summer her in CA all of January. Weirdest thing! I'm still waiting for our "winter" to hit. I think I've turned the heater on a total of 5 days all winter, and I'd much rather it be nice and cold outside!

I love your imagery, though. It would be much more celebratory for New Year's Day to arrive in the spring!
