My Crock Pot and I have been REALLY good friends lately.
Well except for last night when I tried making crock pot cheeseburgers.
Let's just say I won't be sharing that disaster with you.
I'm pretty sure the out of a box hamburger helper would have tasted better than what came out of my crock pot.
Oh well, tried and failed and moving on.
Back to a recipe that did work and was yummy!
We moved to North Carolina from Texas.
That meant we said "Goodbye beef bbq and Hello pork".
I've always been more of a fan of pork ribs though.
Pork ribs seem to be more tender and flavorful.
So with that being said, lets make some ribs!
Here is What You'll Need:
-1-1/2 to 2 lbs of pork ribs
-1 package of Ranch dressing mix
-Your favorite BBQ sauce
That's right.
Only 3 ingredients!!
Easy, Peasy, Lemon Squeezy!
Lay your ribs in your pot.
Coat with approximately 2 cups of bbq sauce.
If you double this recipe I would recommend doing a layer of ribs, top with seasoning, pour bbq sauce, and then do the 2nd helping of ribs, top with seasoning and covered with bbq sauce.
This will ensure all your ribs get a good dousing of ingredients!
Now let this cook on high for 4-5 hours or low for 6-8 hours.
We served ours up with a side of corn on the cob.
We didn't even use our knives as the meat fell apart upon contact.
This meal won't replace our love for Texas BBQ, but it'll help satisfy our rib cravings from time to time.
Do you have a favorite place to eat BBQ?
What is your favorite kind of BBQ:
Texas's tomato based smoked style
Memphis's thin, tangy, tomato based version,
Carolina's vinegar based sauce,
Kansas City's thick tomato & molasses based sauce,
or St. Louis's thick, tangy, sticky-sweet variety?
As much as I love Texas I also love a sweet bbq sauce too!
How do you choose?
Well I hope this satisfies that rumbly in your tumbly!
Have a Blessed Monday!
