For a complete tutorial on making rag wreaths check out my how to post.
The math on fabric was a little different for this wreath, however.
I wanted to mimic a life preserver...

1/8th yard of 3 accent color fabrics.
I chose 3 varying shades of tan (one of which is a sheer fabric)
I also used 2 rolls of burlap-esque ribbon, sparingly.
1/2 yard of 4 white fabrics.
I chose solid white, a sheer polka dot, a white on white polka
dot, and the flower embroidered white.
All of my fabrics were cut into 1" strips by 8" sections!
I sectioned off 4 portions to be my accent color and then filled in the white in the remaining sections.
And the end results....
Bud told me that he he can definitely see a life preserver.
He also mentioned that maybe we could add some rope to it,
*gasp* is that the sound of my husband getting crafty?!
I LOVE IT!
I LOVE him!
Here is a picture of it with a letter "A" that I painted.
Yes Bitsy's name starts with an A, but that's about all I'll share.
I think that I might get another "A" and paint it the teal instead
possibly with white and tan polka dots, Bud mentioned making
it look distressed (again with the craftiness!)
Well that's all I have for now!
Still no baby...YET!
Maybe it's time for another walk....(I know I shouldn't rush it, but I'm ready to meet her and the doctor got my hopes up that it would be soon).
I hope you all have a Blessed Saturday!
