Do you like french toast?
I do.
Have you ever seen how many different kinds of french toast there are?
Seriously, regular, stuffed, topped with fruits, baked, etc.
Well this is a first for me.
Angel Food Cake French Toast...
It's so decadent and scrumptious...it almost seems wrong to serve it for breakfast!
Here Is What You'll Need:
-1 store bought angel food cake (unless you are feeling ambitious and want to make your own)
-6 eggs
-1 cup milk
-3 tablespoons sugar
-2 teaspoons vanilla
-4 tablespoons butter, divided
Beat eggs.
Add milk, sugar, and vanilla.
Whisk well.
Slice cake into 8 sections.
Soak slices in the egg mixture for no longer than 1 minute.
Coat all sides evenly.
Place a non-stick skillet over medium heat and melt butter.
Cook 4 slices of cake at a time, turning until all sides are golden brown.
When you are done you can place all your pieces back together on a plate.
Can you imagine doing this for a kids on a birthday for breakfast?
Or when you have overnight guest?
If you know that all of it will get eaten in one sitting you could fill the center whole with whipped topping and fruit.
Since it lasts more than one day in our home I fixed each plate individually.
A little whipped topping and sprinkled nutmeg!
It is a delightful way to start the day!
I hope you have a Blessed Tuesday!

I am definitely making this when my in-laws come to visit! Thanks for sharing.
