Did I mention that there is no baking required for this dish?!
If you are craving a nice rich chocolate-y, peanut buttery, oreo-y type treat look no further!
Here Is What You'll Need:
-30 Oreos, divided (20 & 10) and crushed
- 2 Tablespoons softened butter
- 1 package softened cream cheese
-1/2 cup peanut butter (creamy or crunchy your choice!)
- 1-1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 carton (16 oz) of whipped topping, thawed
- 15-20 miniature peanut butter cups, chopped
- 1 cup cold milk
- 1 3.9 oz package of instant chocolate pudding
I don't know what it is about baking, but I just love to see all the ingredients laid out in front of me.
I love watching them transform from individual products to a combined delicacy...
Let's get started.
Take your 20 crushed oreos and combined with softened butter.
Mix well and then press into the bottom of a 9x9 dish.
In a large bowl mix the cream cheese, peanut butter, and 1 cup of powdered sugar.
It should look something like this when you are done.
Fold in 1/2 of the whipped topping.
Spread this over the Oreo crust.
In another bowl mix your milk, pudding mix and remaining 1/2 cup of powdered sugar.
Let it stand for about 2 minutes until it's set.
Then fold in your remaining whipped topping.
Spread this over the peanut butter cup layer.
Sprinkle with remaining 10 crushed Oreos.
Place in fridge for at least 3 hours.
Okay so Bud & I only waited 2 hours before we decided we needed some of this!
But let me tell you the next night when we had a 2nd helping it was even better.
The peanut butter layer felt thicker and tasted richer.
The pudding layer was more mousse like.
If you can wait the 3+ hours I suggest it.
If, however, you are like us....and you MUST.HAVE.DESSERT. It's still pretty darn good!
LOOK INTO MY LAYERS!
So far I've used Butterfingers and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups for some tasty treats.
I had a request for some other candy bar desserts so I'll have to get on that, maybe just in time for the holidays!
Lord knows we have a busy few weeks ahead of us with some fun treats coming up!
Hope to see you next week when I debut the Nutella Cream Puffs!
I hope you have a Blessed Tuesday!
