What We Did Wednesday- A blur....

Oh my.
This weekend had plans.
And errands.
And unexpected changes.
But it was so good!

Saturday morning Bud brought the boys for a much needed nail clipping.
The needed it so bad and they hate to let us do it we have to bring them to the vet for it.
*Side note...when we get a puppy again...some day long in the future...we will start cutting it's nails so that it grows to not be afraid of it*
Once Bud got back it was a tag team mission.
He took over watching our Little Miss ADORABLE!
I mean come on....isn't she just the cutest?
I ran off to get a hair cut...
Here it is the day after.
I like it.
I wish she would have gone shorter.
I guess this gives me a head start on growing it out again!
After the hair cut it was a trip to Target for a few essentials and then Hobby Lobby to buy decorations for that adorable little girl pictured above's birthday party in a few weeks.
I'M GONNA HAVE A 1 YEAR OLD!
Once I got home we all went to check out the Renaissance fair.
*Note there are no pictures of said fair.  It was the smallest I'd ever seen and we didn't stay long, mostly because they ran out of turkey legs 2 people before us**
TURKEY LEGS are one of the big reasons for going to a Renaissance fair.
We were going to watch the belly dancers perform at 4 pm, but when we went to the main stage there was a lowly fiddler...sadly playing his fiddle.
By 4:20 there were still no belly dancers and no other activities so we opted to head out.
Being that Turkey Legs had been the planned dinner we decided to eat out.
We never eat out.
Our choices here are limited to chain food restaurants, but Ruby Tuesdays treated us well.
Our waitress was amazing and she brought Bitsy a plate of cut up apples, grapes and cheesy biscuits for no extra cost.
She even snapped this picture of us post meal to prove we had successfully eaten out.
*Note...there is nothing on Bitsy's side of the table, she has Stretch Armstrong arms and we had to keep anything and everything on the furthest side of the table from her to avoid injury and/or from the item being tossed to the floor.*
We got home just in time for Bitsy's bath and bedtime, which meant Bud got to sneak into the garage to get some work done on our 2nd and final bench for our dining room table.
Poor guy hasn't had any free time to work on this.
So Saturday night he pre-drilled all his pocket screw holes.

Sunday was another busy busy day.
Church, followed by a quick cleaning of the house, and then a showing of the house!
That's right we had a group of 4 single individuals come check out the house.
They really liked it, I know because they were very verbal about it.
(I later told Bud, this must be their first time looking at places, because they don't know that they aren't supposed to be so vocal about LOVING a place).
They had asked if anyone else had looked at the house and I told them about showing it earlier in the week, which just lite their fire more.
They kept saying we need to move on this.
Fingers crossed we have found renters...until they sign the dotted line though we won't let out a sigh of relief.
Once they had left we loaded back into the car for a trip to Lowe's and Wal-mart.
2 hours later we finally made it home.
The grocery store was crazy busy, pay day weekend in a military town, eek!
We were smart about 1 thing though.
Before heading home, we changed Bitsy's diaper in the car and changed her out of her clothes and into her onesie (for sleeping).
When we got home we transferred said baby, 1/2 asleep into her sleep sack and into bed with ease!
Bud went out and tackled the assembly of the bench.
I unloaded the groceries into the fridge, freezer, deep freezer and pantry.
Shopping for 2 weeks worth of groceries, plus extra food for the company you'll have coming for a week, plus the extra food for a BBQ celebration birthday party...means a lot of food...don't ask about our grocery bill....I'm starting to consider find a master couponer to teach me their ways!
When I was done I peeked in on Bud....
And before I knew it we had a second bench!
Bud is going to bring the first bench back to the shop to do a little extra routing, but we should have it stained and poly'ed by Saturday, just in time for Bitsy's big birthday party.
This weekend was a blur.
So many things going on, very little sit down and breathe time, just a rush of activities.
This coming Sunday we are going to make sure we don't do anything when we get home from church.

What did you do this past weekend?
Anything fun and exciting?
Do you have anything coming up this next weekend?
I do!
Bitsy's Birthday Party!
Be prepared to hear all about that next Wednesday!

I hope you have a Blessed Wednesday!

  2. I LOVE your hair! They never seem to go short enough, especially if you have long hair to begin with, like they don't believe you actually want that big of a change. Can't wait to hear about the birthday, the first is so exciting!

Your hair is cute. I'm in the middle of growing mine out. Ready to throw in the towel but I'm going to see if I can stay committed until after my trip to Hawaii which is in 4 months. Ugh... seems so far away but it will be here before I know it. :)

Hope the fur babes pedicures turned out good. :)
