What We Did Wednesday- Godparents!

How was your Labor Day weekend?
Did you have a long weekend?
Did you go anywhere or do anything?

We had a WONDERFUL weekend!
Bud had 3 days off and we were blessed majorly because Uncle T & Aunt K came to visit!
Uncle T & Aunt K are Bitsy's Godparents.
Godparents to Bud & I are the people who if anything should happen to us they will be involved in our little ones life and make sure that they know all about their parents.
See we know that our families will ALWAYS be a part of our kids life, but our families are ALWAYS around us and they don't know everything about us.
At least not in the same sense that our friends do.
We want to make sure our kids, should the event arrise, know good and well who their parents were and what made them tick, laugh, etc...
So having Uncle T & Aunt K here for the weekend was definitely a special blessing.
Uncle T was sharing his tablet with Bitsy.
She was totally enthralled with learning this new technology...
Aunt K took it one step further and downloaded a few applications just for Bitsy!
These 2 are so amazingly awesome with her.
Bud & I later talked about how we could see how much they love her just by how they interact with her.
Since they couldn't be here for her birthday in a few weeks we let her open her present early.
It was worth it!
Aunt K's mom sent and ADORABLE outfit and 3 matching bibs.
Aunt K & Uncle T got her some super cute PJs and some non-slip tub grippers in fun sea creature shapes.
Bitsy went straight for the tub grippers and decided they served a better purpose, chew toys!
After they had left I got a text from K telling me that her and T had been talking about their favorite parts about Bitsy.
She said that he loves her laugh.
I have to agree it's quite contagious!
She loves the gap between her two front teeth.
What's not to love about a toothy grin!
Bud & T were in Air Force ROTC together and T is now training to be a pilot.
We can't wait to find out what kind of planes the Air Force will let him fly or where they will end up stationed next!
There is something to be said about being surrounded by people you love!
We can play games, listen to music (Mingo Fishtrap), or just sit in the same room while everyone reads and we are all content just being together!
It's hard to believe that a little over a year ago we were in their wedding and that beautiful girl was still in my belly.
Bitsy just realized that Mommy wasn't the one holding her...she wanted to remedy that quick, fast, and in a hurry!
 There we go.
Now we can all smile and say cheese...
or in Bitsy's case wave 'Hi' to the camera!

Our weekend was a whirlwind of coffee, eating, books, eating, Target, eating, laughing, and did I mention eating?
Seeing them off at the airport Monday was sad, but we know that they will never be too far away.

The military life has a way of bringing people together and bonding those people into families.
They will always be in our lives and for that we are forever grateful!
We love them!

I hope you had a fantastic Weekend and that you have a Blessed Wednesday!
