I felt stuck in a rut.
It's probably because of the move.
However, I've been diving back into blog land and blog hopping quite a bit lately and I think my bug has stopped buzzing and has finally bitten.
I had my first original idea this week, while driving.
Bitsy's room is a beachy/nautical theme meaning that we are trying to keep it pretty neutral (i.e. tans, whites, aquas).
This has proven to be more difficult than I planned as EVERYTHING in babyland these days seems to be safari and I just can't quite find the beach inspired items I had hoped for.
I want to make her name blocks, but I had been struggling with picking paper for the modge podge portion.
I think subconsciously I knew there was another project I'd like to do first.
I love making rag wreaths!
I have a patriotic one, a halloween one, a Christmas one, and even a valentine's day one.
So back to that original idea that popped in my head!
I'm going to make a rag wreath for baby girls door.

I'm inspired by these colors! source |
The plan is to pattern them to resemble a life preserver!

I haven't quite decided on whether or not I'll include rope (sorry random thought that just popped in my head as I looked at the picture of the life preserver).
I am, however, positive that I'll be painting letters spelling out Bitsy's name to attach to this wreath!
I picked up my paints today: Aqua, Coffee Latte, & Wicker White...I'm thinking of painting the letters a solid Aqua and then putting Wicker White & Coffee Latte polka dots!
Anyways, I'm so excited for my next trip to Hobby Lobby!
I hope to have this project started and finished soon so that I can show it off!
I hope you all had a Blessed Tuesday!

Cant wait to see the finished product!!!
