Today was our first appointment since moving to NC.
6 weeks of not being able to get to the doctor because of moving and getting setup in the military system finally ended today.
Everything looks good, which is good since I feel fine!
Bitsy is moving around like a gymnast in there and I'm measuring right on track for 32 weeks.
Her heartbeat today was somewhere between 150-160 which is good and strong.
During the exam though, the nurse practitioner asked me about my hard belly.
"Does this happen often"?
I told her it had been happening a few times a day for the past few days, but that since it didn't hurt I figured they were Braxton Hicks.
She confirmed that they were, but asked that I try to keep better track of them.
I won't lie, when I left the doctor's office I was concerned all of a sudden.
How often is too often?
Have I been ignoring something that I shouldn't have been?
We had lunch and I told Bud that I would take it easy tonight (good thing I did all my house cleaning yesterday).
He agreed that it was about time.
I guess I haven't really been acting like a pregnant woman...I keep saying that as long as I can do it (whatever it may be) I will, until than I'd appreciate everyone to wait until I ask for help.
I hope that doesn't sound snotty, but I just don't like being coddled...and with 7-1/2 weeks left it might be time to cash in all my requests for assistance ;)
Anyways I just did a little 'light' reading on Braxton Hicks and as it turns out as long as I'm not having them consistently (i.e. 4+ per hour), I should be okay.
As I've monitored them today there have been time frames where I get a couple close together and then I'll go a few hours with nothing.
Overall though Baby & Biz are good!
We are healthy and happy and at least one of us is VERY active!
I hope you all had a Blessed Thursday!
