Saturday morning headed out from our hotel to each of our respective parties....
The bride-to-be...getting all dolled up!
getting my hair done!
The rest of the bridal party!
A wonderful group of girls!
And let's not forget the mother-on-the-bride.
After the salon we were off to the church to finish getting ready and prep for the big moment!
I ran around taking pictures of some of the beautiful details!
Then I took a few pictures of the guys getting ready...
Oh wait...those weren't pictures of them getting ready...those were pictures of them relaxing before they got ready!
Here are some getting ready pics
And the groom...
Calm, cool, collected.
I couldn't, obviously, take pictures during the ceremony seeing as how I was on stage with the rest of the wedding party, but I made up for it afterwards during the reception.
Cutting the cake, with a saber!
1st Dance...
..while Bud & CK sing God Gave Me You by Dave Barnes
Father/Daughter Dance
Mother/Son Dance
The vehicle after the groomsman had a go at it...
...attempts to write Just Married backwards
so other vehicles could read it in their mirrors.
Yes the vehicle is full of balloons...a straight pin was
handed to the groom as they went to leave ;)
LOVED that Bud was a groomsman
and I was a bridesmaid....another excuse to
walk the aisle together!!
This was my first wedding of the summer and the furthest away!
Each wedding from here on out will be closer and closer to home.
Thursday I worked only 1/2 a day and then headed up to Dallas to meet up with my 1st set of carpool buddies MP & JP!
We had a lovely sit down dinner before hitting the road that evening for Kansas City!
The first 6 hours were filled with lots of chatter and laughter!
The last 3 though were quite the opposite...from midnight to 3 a.m. MP drove diligently, while JP & myself were passed out!
When we arrived in KS/MO area we discovered that we were far from our Texas weather, it was COLD.
Friday was a day full of festivities!
Rehearsal and Rehearsal dinner....which all equals a mini high school reunion!
The Groom-to-be! JB

Groomsman #2 and creator of washers game, MP
Saturday was the big day!
Although the wedding was originally planned for an out door venue, the on and off sprinkling cause us to move indoors.
No worries though, it was a beautiful wedding filled with beautiful people!
The beautiful bride-to-be KG...
soon to be KB
..
Time for the vows.
Mr. & Mrs. B!!!!
It was a lovely ceremony and I couldn't be happier for JB!
I've been friends with him for about 10 years and I can honestly say KB is his perfect match!
And of course after any wedding ceremony...
comes the dancing and fun!
Mother/Son & Father/Daughter Dances...
My picture WITH the bride and groom!
Congratulations you two!!!
And would you like to know what happens when you set your camera down?
It gets highjacked....
The result....
It was a lovely day.
A lovelier wedding!
And a GREAT time with friends!
Congratulations....
We have friends in town!
MP & JP have come down from Dallas to visit.
making themselves at home!
And guess who they brought with them...
DUTCH!
Their NEW 8 week old chocolate lab puppy.
This makes me want a puppy....
but don't worry, 2 dogs and a lizard keep me plenty busy!
He's adorable!
He loves to fall asleep on my lap and trust me I don't mind.
Today we went to JP's Rugby game.
Unfortunately, JP wasn't actually able to play due to some headaches she's been suffering from lately.
staying as involved as she could from
the sideline.
Meanwhile....
Dutch slept on my lap some more...
or let out some energy with his Dad MP
and drew mass crowds of people who fawned all over
him. (MP & Bud)
After the rugby game we enjoyed a wonderful meal at Matt's El Rancho, where I ate a delicious chicken guacamole enchiladas w/ suiza sauce. I washed it all down with a fresh squeezed limeade! It was all so yummy!
It's been so much fun having friends in town!
Not to mention having a puppy running around the house and giving me more reasons to giggle!
I am blessed to be married to my best friend! I am doubly blessed to have an amazing baby girl! I am always busy...whether it be cleaning, crafting, cooking, blogging, or just preparing for our life as a military family! I hope to share all of this and more with everyone who stops by! Please know that each follower & comment makes my heart skip a beat, you are all daily blessings to me!
