About Me

Hi! I'm Biz.  Let me start off by telling you how I got the name Biz.  My birth name is Elizabeth, however, when I was little and when people asked my name...instead of Elizabeth, it came out a bit more like E-biz-a-biz.  Thus Biz was born and has stuck with me ever since.  I was born into a military family, thus I have no real home town to speak of.  However, I did spend a great deal of my life in Kansas where I met and married the love of my life, Bud!  We moved to Austin after some prompting from God and were blessed greatly while we were there.  I found a wonderful job with the state and at night I went to school part-time to earn my Associates Degree in Business Management.  To answer a question that I am frequently asked, No.  No, I do not have plans to go back to school for my Bachelors anytime soon.  Getting my associates was a stopping point for me.  It allows me the ability to go back later, but at this stage in my life...as a full time stay at home mommy I don't feel I need a Bachelors.  That being said, now you all know that I am a stay at home mommy!  It's a job I've always wanted and I'm just so blessed to have a husband who wanted that for our family too.  In July my husband started his career and we moved to our first of many duty stations.  In September of 2011 we welcomed our first baby girl into this world and I have been loving each and every minute of mommy-hood since then.  Before I had Bitsy I used to fill any free time with crafting, but that has since slowed down a bit.  My main goal here in this blog is to document our lives as a military family.  I will craft when I have time, offer tutorials on DIY and cooking/baking, I'll offer book reviews, and share God's message in any way that he leads me to do so.  I believe that as long as I am busy I will be blessed, it has proven true in my past and I believe it will continue to do so.  I hope you enjoy learning a little bit about our family and I just want to say, "Thank You," in advance for stopping by!

Have a Blessed Day!
