Bud & Bitsy Bio

Bud

Though born in Texas, the greatest country on earth, I was actually forced to live in Kansas for most of my life.  I actually liked it though.  I had a great childhood, a wonderful family and great friends.  I’ve wanted to be million different things growing up, but I never really narrowed it down.  In 2000, at 17 years old my parents allowed me to enlist in the Army Reserves.  I graduated high school in 2001 and kinda just floated along for a little while.  I worked with mentally challenged children, tried my hand at college (didn’t graduate), served on active duty, worked for the Army as a civilian and in that time still wasn’t sure what I wanted to do.  In 2004 I married my high school sweetheart and I’ve never regretted saying I do!!  After 6 very quick years I was done with the Army.  My grandfather (retired Air Force Master Sergeant) harassed me for years that I joined the Army and not the Air Force.  Well, I got the hint and Biz and I moved to Texas (long story of why we moved).  I joined the Air Force Reserves and did that for my first two years of college.  I pursued my Bachelor’s in History at Huston-Tillotson University with a minor in Music Performance.  While I earned my degree I also completed four years of Air Force ROTC at the University of Texas and then I commissioned and became a Logistics Readiness Officer (basically I handle the logistics of supply, aircraft operations, installation readiness, etc).  I am now working in a career that I plan to retire from someday and I’m truly proud to be a part of the world’s greatest Air Force. In 2011 I graduated college, received my commission as an officer, moved to my first active duty Air Force assignment and Biz and I had our first child!!  What a year that was.  I have been eternally blessed throughout my life and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for our future.  I hope you all have a blessed life as well!

Bitsy

In September of 2011 I was born.  I was 20 inches long and 8 lbs 4 oz.  I don’t know it yet, but my parents were lucky enough to plan for my birth.  They were married for 7 years and then they decided it was time for me to come into their lives.  God blessed them and I was born a very healthy baby girl.  I have a sneaking suspicion that I’m going to be a fast grower.  I hope they’re ready for that.  Well, I’ve got a roof over my head, plenty of fancy duds thanks to many wonderful people (family, friends and god parents) and all the breast milk I can drink.  I feel truly blessed and I hope you all are felling blessed as well!!
