Having read the book they knew it would be something I could appreciate.

Heaven is for Real is the kind of book you start and finish in one sitting.
**unless you're me and you have a baby who doesn't believe in letting you sleep in if you decide to stay up late to read. In that case it takes you two nights.
What I'm trying to say here is that this book is a page turner.
Todd Burpo is the author and father of Colton, whom the story is about.
At a young age a doctor's misdiagnosis of Colton's upset stomach leads to a near death experience for the boy and an emotionally chaotic roller coaster for his parents.
When all is said and done, prayers are answered and Colton makes a full recovery.
Over the course of the next few years, however, the little boy reveals that while on the operating table something much bigger was going on!
Colton visits heaven!
He meets Jesus and so many other people!
It's an unbelievable story that will make you believe.
If your struggling with faith or if you just need a reminder of God's love and power this is the book for you to read.
Faith with be renewed, eyes will be opened, and all because of a little boy and his ability to share the fact that Heaven is for Real.

ReplyDeleteYay, you finished the book! Isn't it amazing!?! What really touched my heart was the part where the little boy meets his unborn sister in Heaven. It gave me goosebumps, and still does.
