Today is Bud's 28th Birthday!

Unfortunately, he is out of town doing ROTC stuff. So we celebrated on Sunday! |
Since we didn't want an entire cake sitting in front of us...
I had him stop by Central Market on his way home and pick
up a special treat for us.
He brought home a slice of German Chocolate for himself
and I had a mini creme brulee!

Devouring his cake! |

Ooooh! The PJs he didn't think I would get him! |

Ron Burgandy Anchorman PJs. I hate that movie, but I love my husband. |

He looks quite content doesn't he? |
But wait! There is one more present!
Don't you remember me telling you about my Saturday mornings
that were spent like this...
What was I doing all that time?
**alternating thread color is time consuming!
LOTS of this!!! |
With fabric like this...
**which I don't like b/c I'm a KSU fan, but again I love my husband.
Using a tutorial from here to create a blanket like this:
With a soft back that looks like this:
All of this for the man I love!

I think he likes it! |
So help me wish Bud a Happy Birthday!
He is the most amazing man in the world
**I understand that other wives may beg to differ, know that your opinions are your own and there is no convincing me of anything other than the fact that my husband is the BESTEST!
I love you Bud!
I hope everyone else had a blessed Thursday!
Well thank you my love! I love you too!!! I love the blanket and my PJs :)
ReplyDeleteOh how cute...you got a comment from your husband!..Today is my hubby's birthday...we are lucky to live with men that we think are the best! Looking forward to reading your past and future posts..I came over from Rural Revival..
ReplyDeleteThat blanket looks great!!! And I love that he reads your blog... when I asked him once why he doesn't, he said, "Baby, I live your blog."
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Bud! I just saw you comment on La Famille and hopped on over to check out your blog....you are a very busy girl! Having fun nosing around....

Stuff and Nonsense
Thats so sweet! I love the blanket! and from the look on his face so does he! You guys are so stinkin cute!
ReplyDeleteOh, what a fun post! Happy Birthday, Bud! Your blanket turned out really cute - you are a very thoughtful wife :-) How long did it take to make?
ReplyDeleteKatie...if I had to calculate all the time I would probably have to say 24 hours of actual time. I started it just before Christmas, but didn't get far at all...I really cracked down just a few weeks ago, squeezing in a couple hours here and there and 2 Saturdays, when Bud was at work. Mind you I'm a slow seamstress and changing thread so frequently also added time. I'm hoping to make another one eventually!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by the Marmelade Gypsy! I think the blanket is just great! Wonderful gift -- and those pajamas are a hoot!
ReplyDeleteYour husband is adorable!
ReplyDeleteMary Ann

ReplyDeleteWhat a lucky man! I love the gifts--so generous to make things he really loves! Thanks for sharing the post with me (double link and all) ;-).
